“I loved this book. It has everything I like to read. A good plot, good characters, lovely scenery. It might be classed as cosy crime but contained plenty of crime, tensions and murders alongside friendships and a developing romance. Secrets were gradually revealed as the book went on.

It was a quick, enjoyable read and I would be more than happy to read more by this author.”

“Work to create an eco-friendly business hub turns deadly in this twisting cosy crime.

Olivia Wells has a lot on her plate, she’s grieving the loss of her godparents and putting her life as an architect in New York on hold and living in Cornwall while working to fulfil their bequest of a sustainable co-working hub with ecological values at its heart. Then, as the title suggests, this inheritance starts to turn deadly, when key people involved with the project are found murdered, eyes turn to Olivia as the prime suspect. 
This is an interesting and engaging story with lots of twists and turns. Olivia’s past plays a big part in explaining why she left Cornwall, and her reactions as she finds herself more firmly in the spotlight of prime suspect. The community of supporting characters are well-developed, although I kept my own suspicions about who could be behind the attacks and sabotage as the plot unfolded. Having Jago’s perspective was also a nice change of pace, stepping back from Olivia’s initial emotional reactions to assess and look into things outside the investigation. 
I found that ‘A Deadly Inheritance’ by Jane McParkes was an entertaining cosy mystery set in the close-knit Cornish community. I enjoyed picking up the clues dotted throughout that helped to reveal the culprit while also hoping that Olivia would be able to find peace and move forward.”
